Counseling services at WN-Counseling, LLC provide a warm environment where sensitivity, respect and confidentiality are of the utmost importance. Wendi and Rachel provide expertise in a variety of mental health issues and relational needs and specialize in work with a variety of populations.

Specializes with Individual Populations

We provide over 25 years of experience in the field of psychotherapy and specialize in work with children with learning and behavioral disorders, such as ADD, ADHD, ODD and on the autism spectrum; adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma and self-esteem issues; adults with anxiety, depression, ocd, phobias and other social/ emotional challenges; and the elderly dealing with life transitions, dementia and memory loss including assessments and work with their caretakers.

Couples and Family Therapy

Couples work and family work is an integral part of our therapeutic treatment. After having worked for over 8 years in a Family Counseling center in the Chicago area, Wendi gained great insight, knowledge and skill into working with the marital dyad and the family as an emotional unit and how the family unit impacts each individual during their journey into self improvement and self discovery. Rachel also provides her skilled approach with families and children from her work as part of the Child Welfare system in both Washington DC and Monroe, Washington.

Group Therapy

Fall offering for this year is a treatment group for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. In order to be eligible for the group, members are:

Between the ages of 13-18
Identify as female
Experience feelings of generalized anxiety, even if not formally diagnosed
Willing to commit to weekly two hour sessions for six weeks starting September 9th, 2023

Cost for the group is $300 per person and due before the first meeting. Pricing for this group can be further discussed for those experiencing financial hardship.

All potential candidates for this treatment group must have an initial intake via phone with the clinician leading the group and the legal guardian to discuss candidacy.

Educational Trainings/ Corporate Trainings

Wendi Nancarrow-Carter has provided educational trainings in school districts and communities of the greater Chicago and Seattle area on various topics such as: "The Teenage Brain", "Connecting With Your Children" and "Effects of Social Media On The Teenage Brain". Additionally, Wendi has provided corporate workshops for large Seattle based corporations on various topics such as "Making Time Work for You", "Boosting Your Positive Outlook" and "Effective Communication in the Workplace". She is also available for other smaller group trainings or psycho-educational workshops.
